★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great team! Was recommended the early session at 8:30. Less people and less wind in the morning at Ngarunui Beach. They take the time to thoroughly explain everything and then plenty of time in the water with pictures included. I stood on the board more times then I expected. Recommend for anyone looking for surfing lessons...Thanks guys!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool instructors, really helpful lesson, especially for beginners like me because they have all sizes of surfboards, so you get a board that fits you and you will be Learning and having fun from day 1, and when you get better you get smaller boards and they concentrate on other things that you can improve!
Have also been staying in their Surf and Stay, it was absolutely awesome. I definitely will be continuing surfing on my own, was so much fun in raglan!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My sister and I came together for 4 days of surf lessons but ended up staying over two weeks! An absolutely incredible place! The beach is beautiful and the lessons were very insightful. Both my sister and I could stand on our first day. Groups are kept small which makes it easier to get better with one on one time with coaches. Wonderful experience and I would recommend Greenwave to anyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a great experience with green wave and really got into surfing.
The first days I took progressive surfing lessons and then started renting a board.
I really liked how they focused on small groups which makes the progression a lot easier. The teachers talked to every person several times during the lesson and gave specific tips for improvement to every single person.
They also did a great warm up for everyone in the beginning even if you are only hiring a board and the also have a big variety of different board sizes so I could always try out a new one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I haven't stood up on a surf board in 20 years, but got right back into it in my first session with Green Wave. Everything from booking to the meet-up to actually getting into the water with them was so easy and fun. They provide all the gear you need, as well as any help or instruction on the gear. They are experts and will give you instruction on everything from stretching and breathing to movement and paddling into swells. Green Wave are great, friendly folks who do an excellent job at explaining and teaching how to start surfing or develop your skills further.
I'll be doing lessons with them every time I come to Raglan ion the future!
