β β β β β These guys are thieves. They asked for $40 after looking at our van, and we didn't have any quote for the repairs! As said to them, not against being charged for this, but at least announce it before taking the keys and the vehicle without any choice. It was a bad surprise to pay and not even receiving a quote.
Also, the young blond lady was very rude to us, talking to us as if we were idiots, not appreciated at all.
When we asked for how much it would cost to repair our ball joint they quoted a 2.5 hours job which actually should take a maximum of 1 hour.
Avoid this place.

β β β β β after losing our transmission in the mountains before Fox Glacier, we ended up at Greymouth Mitsubishi.
They were wonderful from the lovely receptionist to Willie the owner/mechanic, they were very helpful, let us have a car while we waited for a new transmission to arrive and be installed.
We will never forget their kindness in what was a very distressing situation.

β β β β β Our vehicle broke down and had been towed to them during after hours.
They were on it next day morning since 8 o'clock.
They confirmed the issue identified by AA road side assistance, however the part could not be found locally and they had to order a new one shipped overnight.
I asked them to look into also a cooling system in the meantime and they found leaking water pump and replaced it. They however suggested that the radiator works need replaced too as its been already sealed on the past in hence the plastic won't last.
Mechanics and the Irish owner provided excellent service for reasonable money in very bad situation and no booking was required.
I wished I could always repair and service our cars in the workshop line this!
