★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been to this cafe on some occassion with friends. I love the ambiance. I could not expect that the place is quite huge from the inside where either you want to have a privacy meetings, hangout with friends on a living room set up on the 2nd floor. I only give 4 star at this stage as I have not tried the cafe specialty aside from muffins, coffees, and pies which is quite good. They make good coffee. First time I tried was the Matcha. It was actually taste good. Just the right sweetness on it. The staff are amazing and very efficient. Seems like they have their regular customers too. Drop by to this homie ambiance cafe when you get a chance ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've been here a few times and every time the food has been amazing, not to mention the perfectly brewed coffees.
I decided to have the French Toast, and I wished I had ordered a double portion. It was absolutely delicious, coated in the right amount of sugar with fresh seasonal fruit (strawberry, kiwi fruit, pineappel) on a bed of mascarpone cream, just the right amount of sweetness.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly, this cafe was an absolute highlight to my time in Tauranga. My partner and I came upon recommendation from family one lunch time, and ended up coming back the following morning for brunch! Devine menu, the creamy mushrooms was delicious as was the french toast. We had the same waitress Aaliyah serve us both days and she was simply brilliant, I literally turned to my partner and said ‘and this is how you do customer service.’ Thank you for making our short stay for a gig that much sweeter! Will be recommending to others.

Went there for breakfast, it was a little crowded but a normal amount for Grindz. Nice place to sit down and have a chat or do some work. Some of the upstairs tables have outlets to plug in a laptop or phone

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grindz is a nice large cafe with plenty of choices on where to sit. There is a nice atmosphere and staff are super friendly even in the busier moments. The menu had a large range of options as well as a full cabinet to choose from. The French toast was beautifully presented and the candy floss is a nice touch, the picture will not do it justice, unfortunately. As a newer local, I cannot wait to come back and eat here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always my go-to when in Town. And today it's nice to see they have done a nice little Reno. To update and give a bit more room. As always coffee good. Food good . I had the Chef Breakfast. Which isn't too heavy despite having egg. Hash brown. Bacon and a meat patte.
