B	Beenie Colleenie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Upon arrival I was disrespected and felt an invasion of privacy. I thought that the owners first and second impressions were enough for me to continue driving to a different lodge/campground. First there was a rude comment ready for my common questions. As I figured out where else to go I was surprised by the owner abruptly opening up the door of my van, that I was resting my back on and had to catch myself from falling out. The rude comments continued by telling me I was in the way so I hurried away. Never been disrespected at a hotel/ lodge like that before in my life. The owner could use a forever vacation from that job.

Quaint little original huts with coal/wood ranges and basic facilities. The kitchen area was very adequate with enough room for several teams to cook at once. Plenty of history to be read around the place and you really get the feel of just how hard those old guys were that tried to break in this land. Staff were generous, happy and kind. Be sure to bring playing cards and candles for the huts as they make a great place to settle in with your crew once the power is turned off at 10pm. Sandflies need a mention, as they make you feel pretty popular any minute you step outside

A	Abbey Talarico on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very quaint and historic campsite. There is plenty of space and $20 per night for unpowered campsite (there are also powered campsites and cabins). This includes use of a large communal kitchen and dining area with a fire place and plenty of seating. Kitchen has no cutlery or cookware so be prepared for that. Hot showers and flushable toilets. Definitely need to bathe yourself in insect repellent here as there are swarms of sandflies which would be my only complaint but owners can't control nature unfortunately.

Equipped with super quirky cabins (some are quite small and have beds only), areas for tent camping, and four sites are available for larger campervans. Amenities include hot showers, toilets, common dining area, and a small convenience store. The camp is also home to a nice little museum that displays some original artifacts from the days when the Homer tunnel was constructed. Additionally, camp power is supplied by generator, so lights are on between the approximate hours of 7 to 10pm. Likewise, a charging shed is also available during the above hours.
M	Melanie Moloney on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So many sand flies. Even though we were really careful we ended up sleeping in the car as our tent got invaded. There is a large kitchen and they do provide gas kettles but the lighters for the hobs were empty (luckily we had our own anyway). It was ok.for one night but it's not a place I would stay for a week's holiday. It could do with some updating as it seems quite tired. Very friendly and helpful staff though.
