★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our second time camping here and quickly becoming a fave summer spot for us. Friendly and quick check in and tidy clean facilities. Beach is beautiful ? the new area with the wood fired pizzas and burgers is v cool and buzzing while we were there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed 2 nights at the powered site near beach. The second day I asked for the key to use spa pool and the receptionist said it's fully booked for the day. Didn't know it needs a booking. Its a low season and not many people on site. And I haven't seen anyone using the pool either. Great location anyway

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a powered site. The camping ground was beautifully maintained, and facilities were clean. Right next to the beach and in walking distance to shops and eating places. Highly recommend. We had a wonderful time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent campsite right by the beach. Great facilities, with the best pizza I've had so far in NZ and good beer at the bar area. Only thing that could make it better would be live music.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter booked a Beachfront Bach through Airbnb and we were not disappointed. It was a home away from home and more. Our only disappointment was we didn't stay long enough to explore the beautiful well kept massive grounds of the resort and we didn't pack our fishing rods ??.
Overall, it was well worth the money, great service, helpful office staff, friendly locals (canines included ?), short walk to the beach plus more.
In my experience, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location is 6 star due to beautiful beach and nearby cathedral cove. Great Cafe facility at resort. Was quite a walk to one shower block so I used my RV facilities. The beach view spots would be worth the price.

Pet friendly out of season.
Facilities top notch.
Staff fabulous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My boyfriend and I came to camp here for 5 nights on a non powered site. We were checking in late and fully accommodated for, it was so easy for us to be able to come in when we were able to after driving down from Auckland after work. The campground itself is huge and has everything you could need - coffees, smoothies and toasted sandwiches in the morning, and a bar with pizzas and burgers for dinner. Amazing location also right on the beach! We were sort of towards the further end of the campground from the beach but it was still about a minute or so walk, and the outdoor showers were incredibly handy! They also had a hot tub with such a beautiful view over the beach which we thought was really cool too. After our third night, it had been raining pretty consistently and our tent was starting to get a little wet and cold on the inside, so with two nights left we asked at the office if there was any possibility we would be able to upgrade to a little room or cabin just for the next two nights. The staff were incredibly kind and empathetic and did everything they could to get us into a warm, dry room for no extra charge at all! Every staff member we spoke to was lovely and friendly, and we felt so welcome and looked after. Thank you to the team at Hahei Beach Resort for such an amazing holiday! Will most definitely be returning as soon as we can
