★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hali - Inspired by the ocean. This place is absolutely beautiful. So happy to have Hali here in Christchurch. My partner and I are huge seafood lovers, Inati had announced Hali was coming to the scene. We've had the most wonderful experience at Inati so I was excited to book in as soon as we could! Expectations were high since Inati had a mind-blowing menu.
We have been on the hunt for a restaurant that was seafood-focused. For our first dining experience in Hali, we booked in for Valentine's day. And you know that oysters are natural aphrodisiacs, so of course, spending Valentines here was the best day to experience Hali for the first time. We were very impressed with the cocktail menu, saw some very creative mixes in the lot.
We waited down in the bar till we were seated at our table. Round of applause to the interior designer. Fabulous work has been made to create a gorgeous bar/dining area. The staff were super friendly, thanks for being such stars for the night!
We had ordered 3 starters, 2 mains and 2 sweet treats to finish it off. By the end of each dish, we were torn to pick which one was our favourite dish of them all! Every bite was balanced beautifully, with great flavours and presented in the sexiest way. Thank you for creating such a stunning menu Hali. We couldn't fault one thing, can't wait to see more from you! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If your looking for a sophisticated London/New York style bar and restaurant with a distinctive local influence, then Hali will impress you. Created by the outstandingly team behind Inati, Hali has similar elegance, attention to detail with a light spacious ambiance. We started with some pre dinner drinks in the cocktail lounge on the first level and first impressions were amazing. Their staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating. Their drinks menu was extensive including an impressive wine list. But I would highly recommend you choose one of their amazing and original cocktails. I chose Oliver’s Twist (spiced rum, nutmeg bitters and toffee apple). It was generous and a spectacular combination of flavors. My friends both had a Lemon Jubilee (Plymouth Gin, lemon sherbet and bubbles) and were equally blown away. I could have drunk these all night and I look forward to returning to sample more!
Next we took the elevator to the dining room upstairs. If you’re familiar with Inati, expect similar excellence and an emphasis on fresh local produce. Prepare to be impressed and welcomed by an attentive team who are passionate about their cuisine.

Love the flight of 3/5 cocktail idea. You can’t pick the cocktails but most of them are yummy anyway.
I prefer my oysters without the extras. But this was a nice change. The crayfish was naturally sweet. Tasted extremely fresh. Catered well for gluten free.
Fun place will go again for the Monday fish and chips.
