★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food and service. We were blown away by the trust the chef offer and will be heading back again soon. Stunning views and a great wine list. We went as a bigger group, however it would also be a nice date night location. Some of the best food we have had in Christchurch.

The sharing format was restricted and unfortunately didn't work for a group of 6, meaning we had to split the 12 or so plates we had into minute pieces. Our order was served incorrectly, both omitting dishes we had ordered and duplicating some we hadn't. Even after 12 plates + pudding our group left still hungry and underwhelmed by the experience. The environment itself was very nice, and the food we did eat was tasty, but there are better options available for the price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just ok. We purchased a two for one chefs tasting selection online and had high hopes. The view was great but many of the dishes were lacking in quality and flavour. The steak dish was great, the mushrooms tasty, the scallops juicy and the prosciutto with chillies pretty good. Portions were small though. The leek dish, the anchovies, and the beetroot were very underwhelming too. We expected to finish with a small, shared desert … but no, the meal ended with the steak. The two for one deal made it reasonably good value but $160 for what we had would’ve been exorbitant. Won’t return. Much better options around in Christchurch.
