β β β β β Very grateful they kept the light on as we were late arriving after a somewhat hairy/windy road from Waihi for a first-time motor-home traveler. Jane and Steve provided great advice for getting though Auckland and motor-homing in general.

β β β β β What a great base to camp. I had a small tent and spent two nights here over Christmas. It had a small but good outside covered kitchen, good showers and toilets well cleaned, helpful staff and there's so much to do in the area.
I biked the Karagahake Gorge to Waihi, well work doing for the history alone. The ride was excellent too. So many cool and unusual shops in town to explore and a beautiful river to chill out by if you want to. The L&P Cafe is good and the walk and view from Primrose Hill was well worth it as well. I'll be back one day for sure.
