β β β β β Absolutely beautiful, spacious, clean, with 4 fun slides and plenty of hot and very warm pools.
Beautifully surrounded by trees and mountains in a beautiful alpine style village.
Nice coffee, ice cream and food options inside and outside.
Worth the trip from CHC.
If only there were more of these places in New Zealand.

β β β β β Itβs $35 entry fee and you get to go to at least 10 different thermal pools. They have water slides for kids and a restaurant within the place. Itβs such a good place for family gatherings !

β β β β β A must visit destination in the south island where you can spend all day. The resort is acceptably priced for what they offer and provides whole family entertainment and facilities. There are myriad thermal pools of different temperatures including 3 hottest natural unfiltered sulphur pools up to 42 degrees C. Original hexagonal pools are 38 to 39 and numerous rock pools are a bit cooler around 35 degrees. Adult aquatherapy pools are super relaxing. Large swimming pool with sun loungers and lazy river gives chance to be more active and cool off. There are 4 rides for thrillseekers, 2 standard hydroslides and 2 more modern with 2 person rafts. Kids splash pool with small slides and water features for little ones are good. The pools offer really good accessibility with ramps and hoists and brilliant changing facilities. The cedarwood and tabac products in the changing rooms make it a real spa experience to finish and these are sold in gift shop for 20 bucks each. The cafe is well stocked and reasonably priced with vegan and vegetarian choices and large portions. All staff friendly. We visited on a hot day and a cool day and it is good either time, umbrellas over the pools provide shade and rain cover. There were no restrictions on visitor numbers that I could tell, we just needed vaccine passes. For a 2 day pass for a family up to 3 kids it is $149. Opening hours are not what they used to be only from 10am till 7pm but hopefully with more visitors they will open longer in time. There are other things to do in Hanmer of course, beautiful walks and more adventurous activities, but you can't beat the pool resort, it is absolutely fantastic.

β β β β β We come here wayyyy too much lol but thats because we love it! The kids love it. Deffintly an amazing day out! And the family deal with 2 pizzas is amazing! Such a bargain and the pizza is soooo good! 2 is heaps for 2 kids and 2 adults. The pizzas are filling. Also, when the photographers come for a picture, honestly its a really decent price! Love my fridge magnets and key rings too!

β β β β β Quite a busy place when we went. There was a long line outside with people to go in. This was during red light level. Only 500 was allowed in. So, when people left, then people was allowed in. They offer $35 on bookme as discounted rate but funny it is $35 entry for adult. I find that bit cheeky. However, I enjoyed the facilities. The overcrowding is something we can not have control over. We found it difficult to find a park.

β β β β β Special place for those just wanting to relax in hot pools or beat the kids down the water slides. Reasonable entrance fee under $30. Can stay for the day or come back later. Changing areas are clean and well kept. Showers have nice shampoo and condition free to use. Plenty of places to sit and read a book and cafe for the coffee and cake. Staff are friendly and helpful.

β β β β β Visited today with my daughter. We loved hanging out in the Rock and Octagonal pools. She enjoyed the river part.
The hydro slides were great with a short wait. The tube ride was a little longer but nothing compared to other parks Iβve visited.
The facility is clean and well kept with lifeguards who are actively keeping watch. Saw one ask an eager 7yo who was swimming alone, to stay on the stairs till their parent came out of the changing rooms and I noticed they kept an eye on her til an adult turned up.
The family change room and ladies facilities were clean. The shampoo and conditioner in the showers smelled awesome after being in the sulphur pools. The spinner for togs in the change room was very cool and a great way to get the water out of swimmers.
