★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most customers without masks and nobody bothered to stop or question them. As a single person dining, was completed ignored for quite a while before order was brought.
Overall very disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In NZ for a 2 week holiday from Australia. They would not accept my Australian international covid vaccine passport. They told me I had to register with the NZ ministry of health to get the NZ pass. I have had no trouble with my pass at other venues in Hanmer / Christchurch. Not sure what the problem is here but something needs to change.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would not recommend this place. My partner and I were shocked that for an Irish pub there was no Guinness on tap or alternative given. Pints were overpriced and the chips we ordered had zero salt or seasoning. Not a dog friendly pub, despite the pet water bowls outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just had a fabulous steak & mushroom pot pie and partner had the beef burger. They were delicious! Staff were friendly, they even gave me mashed spud, no charge, when I asked for it. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic Restaurant. Reasonable prices, friendly and helpful staff. A brilliant menu selection..especially for hungry teenagers. We had the Burger...cooked to our specific requirements and the Steak & Stout Pie, both were delicious and full of flavour!! We will be back.
