The staff here are fantastic, having looked at a few spots to book tours we found that happy tours was more about getting us a great holiday experience whereas other tour spots were more about making dollars. We booked a helicopter tour up to the snow. Sebastian got us a great deal and even when I made an error in picking the tour day he was still able to get us the same great deal on another day.
The staff are engaging friendly and very helpful, the thing that sets them apart is the individual effort the staff put in to perfecting your holiday experience. If you’re in Queenstown this is the place to book.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popped into Happy Tours on our first night in Queenstown to get some info on things to do etc. We met Sean, (Irish guy), he was so helpful and talked us through everything suited to our taste and gave us great advice for our few days here from guided tour to restaurants and cafes. We ended up booking 2 tours with him and he got us a small discount which was much appreciated. Thanks again Sean!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popped in on our first night in Queenstown and had Alex great us, who not only provided some great laughs and insight into what we wanted to do, had done everything himself so he could provide us the ins and outs of our tours. With the help of Sebastian later on, (who had 2 years experience of traveling and touring the north and south islands) the two made us a great itinerary for both the north and south islands that only locals could come up with, on a budget! Extremely thankful for there help and would definitely recommend these two!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yesterday me and my partner were devastated when we found out that our Milford tour was canceled last minute, as it was on our last day at Queenstown. Since it was a Saturday we were worried everything else would be booked up. Luckily we came across Happy Tours! The guy working there had incredible service, and found us great deals. He was able to organise us an amazing day filled with activities and transport even though it was all last minute. Thanks again!

One of the most unexpected highlight of my trip in NZ is this Canyoning adventure near queenstown!
Because Of the snow my trip to Milford sounds got cancelled, I was recommended to try out this water sport Canyoning by Sean from Happy Tours after I told him I have been going to gym 3 times a week, also been taking some trainings getting myself improved physically for races like spartan. Man Vs. wild has been my all time favorite.
The experience is exciting, super engaging, “dangerous”, challenging which involves jumping off small spring, climbing down clif with a rope, walking through rocks...
the guider and coaching team is professional, fun, caring, which is essential to make this journy great :-D
Some basic fitness level, flexibility, strength in legs and grabbing, swimming skills is already enough! I did not know I can actually do something like this!!!
Have to thank Sean from Happy Tour for recommending this to me, who know and do outdoor activity well :-)
Look forward to come back NZ to do more stuff

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bad service. Me and my friend booked a helicopter experience to the glacier 5days ahead cuz it was only the Saturday weather was good. By the day we got to the heliwork reception, the lady said we were not booked in the system when we actually already paid $200 deposit 5 days ago! Two of us waiting there, looking like idiots when everyone was able to get on the heli. They say it’s system error and they can’t find other replacement for us but just refund. Our whole day was ruined becuz of this cuz but we were so looking forward to it! In the end the lady said they would put us in other flight to remarkable mountain with free of charge. We agreed to do it given it’s their compensation. However, next day when we asked for the initial deposit, they changed the conversation saying the no deposit becuz they put us in another flight. Happy travel and heliwork just kept saying it’s the other sides responsibilities. We had to call multiple times and went to the the happy travel shop to argue what happened becuz it’s not what happened and they kept failing us. In the end They had to refund us the deposit but Dan, as the manager in the shop said us being sneaky doing this. I am very disappointed that he said it as the one who made the mistake! Sounds like we wanted it to happen. We are the customers and we want the best experience on holiday. Happy travel made things so complicated This is the worst travel agency experience I have ever had and I am very disappointed with all the bad and dodgy thing they did. Also for another coach trip we went to millford sound, they put the wrong name for us, causing confusion for the driver and us. Whenever we come back to Queenstown we wouldn’t book any trip with them.
