★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super classic kiwi bakery! A huge range of affordable sweet treats and a mass of pies. I noticed only one vegetable pie—pumpkin pie. I’d assume vegetarian (because NZ doesn’t use lard often) but not sure and didn’t try it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the apple doughnut and partner loved the flapjack! The custard slice has thick flakey layers of pastry and a smooth custard filling. Loved it all!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really like the custard twist and pizza slice, but the pies aren't very good and the ginger slice is terrible (doesn't taste like ginger and has what I think are stale, chewy cornflakes in it). The staff are usually not very friendly. I want to like this place more as it is local but unfortunately you just can't guarantee that something will taste good from here.
