Wasn't given any information during the consultation. The staff was friendly but not happy with the service provided at all. I'm back to square one hair-wise even after paying 110$. Had they advised about the procedure and outcome beforehand, situation would have been better.

DO NOT GET SUGARED HERE! Had a great experience with Wendy doing my hair. She was lovely and absolutely knows her stuff. Unfortunately I have to give this establishment 1 star because of my horrendous experience with their “sugaring” as well as the manager/owner Elaine. For starters advertising that you do sugaring when in reality you are simply practicing the waxing method but with a product that just happens to be made out of sugar is extremely misleading and then to charge the same prices as a place that actually does proper sugaring is just dishonest. On top of that, I was left with spiky hair on all of the places where I should have had hair removed from the follicle. Basically this means I had hair ripped off to make stubs, which is unacceptable for sugaring and even waxing. The worst part of this experience though was how Elaine (the manager/owner) treated me when I asked for a refund, considering I had clearly not received the service I had paid for. At first she told me she was going to get katelyn’s (the lady who sugared me) side of the story, when I asked her why she needed to do that, considering I obviously had spiky legs/braz/armpits that should be smooth, she said that maybe Katelyn would say that my hairs were too short and that’s why it didn’t work, which is a pretty calculated thing to say. When I told her I still had patches of hair that were completely untouched and very long, proving my hair was long enough, she said she would get back to me, then ducked my calls, her argument being irrelevant anyway ‘cause if my hair was too short, I should have been sent away rather than having the treatment performed knowing it wouldn’t work and then making me pay for it. So I got my partner (whose card paid for the treatment) to call her and she answered. He insisted she provide a refund. In the end she would only give a partial refund, changing her story and telling my partner that my hairs were different lengths and that it was fully explained to me before the treatment that some of the hairs wouldn’t catch. That statement was a complete lie. Why would I pay for a treatment if I was told beforehand I would be left with spiky hairs afterward, that logic is completely absurd, I would not have gone through with it. If you want to get a proper sugaring in Whangarei that will leave you completely smooth and in an environment that has a sanitary feel and people who are professional and don’t take advantage of you, I would highly recommend Bellissimo. They were the first place I tried sugaring and I was extremely pleased with the results. I only decided to try heads up this time round, cause I thought it would be nice to try out the place that cut and bleached my hair. But NEVER AGAIN!

Well the lady I had was a bit abrupt with me, pushed her finger into my neck whilst trying to push me down because i wasnt low enough at the basin when she was washing my hair when in fact she needed to raise the basin, as she eventually did. Didn't totally give me what I wanted and paid for either, put one tiny brown streak through my grey patch which was unnoticeable and clearly needed more product. Asked for a full head of foils of bleach and some chocolate brown and was left with heaps of my own brown hair with Grey's in it which I didnt want, even told her that lots of times. Overall look very subtle, i wanted more of an obvious difference. She took charge and did what she wanted. I left disappointed, feeling I could have got what I wanted elsewhere for the $250 spent. She was from Ireland. I wouldnt recommend her.

Deb has been styling and colouring my hair for over a year. I am thrilled with my hair since Deb has been my Hairdresser, she is a professional in every sense of the word. I receive many compliments for how great my hair looks now and how the cut and colour suit me better than any I have had before. Being organic is an extra plus. Apart from doing a great job of my hair Deb always makes sure I am comfortable, and warm on these cold mornings.

From the moment I walked into this beautiful salon, I knew I was in for something special. I was met by Sheryl, Beauty Therapist / the new owner. My facial was tailored to my skin and requirements and it was beautiful. The nicest products ever. I can't wait for my next treatment. Sheryl made my experience so special.
