β β β β β Fabulous place to stay has everything you need and more. Very friendly, clean and welcoming. I rung to say our Ferry was coming in late, when we arrived at our room the heater & electric blankets were on was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend to stay here. You also get a few lovely little Treats. Price was great too. Definitely be back.

β β β β β Easy to find, close to everything, great parking. Units were warm, clean and spacious for 2 of us. Beds were very comfortable and fresh. We travel with our own pillows but pillows here were very comfortable, fresh and clean. The units had everything we needed and more than expected. Brain and Janine were very informative about Picton and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will definitely be back ?

β β β β β Set in the heart of Picton and literally 3 minutes drive from the Bluebridge Ferry terminal, the High Street Living Motel is ideal for staying overnight in Picton before catching the morning ferry to Wellington. It means you can have a leisurely drive up to Picton without the pressure of having to meet a deadline for checking in for your ferry.
The Motel may be small but the staff have a big heart, friendly and welcoming. Each of the three times we have stayed now, we have been offered an upgrade if we wanted it. This time we decided to stick with the two single bedded room as booked, which was more than adequate for our needs.
Our room (Room 9) had two very comfortable single beds in, as well as TV (with Netflix if you had your own account), fridge, microwave, kettle, cutlery & crockery. The heater provided kept the room nice and warm all night. The en-suite bathroom had a good strong shower with no problems with hot water. Large pump action bottles of soap, shampoo & conditioner means no plastic waste, which is good.
Room 9 is closest to the street but no street noise was heard while we were there. We did hear noises through the wall from the hairdressers on the other side of it, but they close at 5.00pm so wasn't a problem.
There is a 4-Square supermarket next door for any grocery needs and plenty of restaurants, bars and takeaway options within easy walking distance.
Only word of caution is to remember to keep the bathroom door shut (and switch on the extractor fan) when showering, as the in-room smoke detector is just outside the door.

β β β β β The people at High street Motel are amazing. I had a late night arrival off ferry and they had my room all heated up and wonderfully presented. Perfect place to stay. Will definitely be staying again
