★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are a lot of information boards which contains the history of the buildings and the Chinese people who lives here. The dragon flags are iconic to the Chinese community back in the mining era. If you're looking for great scenic shots or heritage buildings, this is not the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a small stop that explains bit about how the Chinese people settled down and what are the challenges that they have faced.
You can't enter the houses. You can have a peek through the glass. It's just nice a small stop on your way to Queenstown thingy
It would be great if they allowed us to enter the house and have a peek but I guess you don't want random tourists damaging the things inside

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy to miss when cycling to Lawrence as you'd be cycling past from behind the two houses. There should be a sign to point cyclists through the gates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historic outpost honoring the lives of Chinese settlers of Otago and their descendants. Spacious ave cool in the breeze. Lovely old (tall and big)apple trees full of fruit. Might come back in autumn to try the fruit!
