★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This beach is absolutely stunning on a nice day, spent maybe an hour here and I was able to find about 6 different pieces of greenstone, I’ve never been able to find any anywhere before hand

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ lovely beach although it was incredibly windy. Had the obligatory photo with the Hokitika sign and then had some fish and chips on the beach. It seems lots lots of freedom campers park up here so it’s pretty busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like driftwood? Like shiny stones... Like Instagram approved sign... And a long or short beach walk... This is the place... Good paths, or trick beach navigation (driftwood and sand currents). It has it all... Safe play area for kids and the driftwood sign every gen Z would have as profile pic... We stopped and far end of carpark, toilets are in an ok state.... Felt safe parking the van for a few hours.
