★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here hoping for information about a hike and was meet with an unhelpful condescending staff member. She had little information to offer, nor did she even try to be helpful, about our hike except to imply we were underprepared. A shame we couldn’t get the information we needed from here, thankful the doc office in Franz Josef was more helpful by telephone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fun place to visit. It reminds me of a mix of Kelly taltons in Auckland and willowbank in christchurch. The fishing for freshwater crays was alot of fun. Kids loved it. Highly recommended place to visit.
