Established in 2003 by Dr. Liza Schneider, Holistic Vets makes use of the best of both worlds. From basic veterinary care such as vaccinations and nutrition to surgery and chronic ongoing conditions, our broad approach addresses all issues.
We're devoted to ensuring our clients have everything they need to make an educated decision as to which path they are comfortable pursuing within their care and financial constraints. We focus on getting to the root of the problem, considering all factors, whilst supporting your pet's emotional and physical health, by providing the most effective and least invasive treatment plan possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been living in Aotearoa for 6 years, our place on this small world, together we have formed a small and beautiful family, together with our daughter, and our three cats, who are our tribe; Eddie, one of our cats became ill and we had to make the hard and difficult decision to let him go since clinically, no more could be done, without a doubt one of the most difficult moments for this family, this decision was made with love, and leaving aside the selfishness of wanting to keep him physically with us ... we just want to thank God for putting the right people next to us, we want to thank the entire Holistic Vet Tauranga team tremendously, from the person at reception to each of those who with A smile and a hug accompanied us in this pain, especially thanks to Dr. Liza Schneider, thanks for her empathy, thanks for her humanity, and for doing everything possible for our Rey. Eddie is already resting and the memories of him will remain in our hearts forever.

Our 14 year old had a collapsing airway. Steroids only made her hair fall out. Breathless hacking cough remained! Surgery with a 20% chance of success was toured as the only option.
The natropathic drops given by holistic vets have made her like a pup again. No more hacking cough, no more breathless wheezing. We go walking again!

We had our 16 year old family dog put down and the whole team showed the most kindness and sympathy throughout our ordeal of loosing our beloved girl! They arranged the cremation and she was back home with us within a week. I also recieved a lovely card from the team at Holistic Vets which really made my day Thank you so much! ?
I took my Gucci there for her WOF Friday 29th and again cannot fault the service of the vets with the care they put in and show towards your pet! Liza has a fantastic practice and team! ????
