★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sadly the standards and the number of experienced and qualified staff have been depleted over the last 9-12 months. I thought I would give the nail bar another chance to see if things had improved. Unfortunately they haven't, my mani pedi took nearly 2 hours as the technician said she had only been doing nails for one month!
Some of the staff were unfriendly and you were not made to feel welcome. Will be visiting the other new nail bar in Fashion Island from now on and if you were wondering 'yes' that's where all the best technicians from Hollywood Nails are now working.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I made sure to make a booking at this busy time of year but still took an hour for my daughter to have her manicure. This was done over the foot spa as there was no space. I’m not impressed. Staff is friendly but full price is still charged for a bad experience. I will consider my other options next time as I treat my girls each year with a pamper session but this was not relaxing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The people working there are friendly, and were accommodating me to changing my booking time quite last minute. However the place is quite messy (where you wash your hands you can see into the back room that just has piles of laundry in it) and the atmosphere was awkward because there was no talking, no music, no nothing - just the whir of a massage chair.
The manicure itself was OK, but Im only 2 days into having my gel nails and two have already peeled off and a third has chipped. I suspect it's because they didn't wipe my nails with polish remover prior to applying the gel. Unfortunately Im not often in Tauranga so wont be able to go back to have them fix it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Multiple ladies work on 1 person. Staff unfriendly, I wonder if some are at all qualified. Made to feel an inconvenience. Main lady always in a rush to leave, huffing and puffing. All my nails were badly shaped, different lengths and odd. I've had my cuticles cut and left bleeding , and they pull your fingers if you move...so dont move. They cracked mine a few times from pulling so hard. Not enjoyable at all. Gave a few chances but last time was the worst.
