★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I felt ripped off by HRV. My house was eligible for a healthy home at the time they installed my heat pump. I was not told about it and I wasn't aware of the scheme at that time. I contacted the salesperson to know why I wasn't told. His response is that he doesn't have the obligation to tell me.
A different business that completed my insulation told me about this scheme which was very helpful.
What a shame for putting profit before core business values.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently we had a ducted heat pump installed into our 1997 built home, we already had the HRV ventilation system and it worked really well but we wanted to be able to heat and cool our entire home. It's been in for almost 2 weeks and we are blown away with just how good it is. Our kitchen and dining room catches a lot of all day sun and so can be really hot but the system cools that space down within 5-10 mins - so quick. Initially we were using it to cool the house because it has been so warm and within 5 minutes of turning it on, the house was at a really comfortable temperature. We knew it would be good but we underestimated how efficient the system would be. In the last week or so we have been using the heating function and again, it is incredibly quick to bring the whole home to a consistent temperature.
The entire experience has been seamless and easy. I made an online inquiry and was contacted within 24 hours, where i was booked in for a consult within the same week. James was our sales consultant and he did a fantastic job talking us through our options and answering all our questions. The admin team were quick to follow up James' consult and book in the install. The install team were excellent, professional, accommodating and absolutely lovely to have in our home. They installed the whole system within a day and left the house cleaner than they found it - they vacuumed up all the dust and put everything back to where it was. I was so impressed by how well oiled the whole process and system was - everything happened like clockwork, on time and with a smile. Thank you to James and the entire team - you guys really have done an outstanding job and we appreciate the excellence in service you have all demonstrated.
I think like most kiwis we are not accustomed to having a home where every room is warm and dry. We like many other kiwis both grew up just heating the main living area of the home and just accepting that its a bit chilly in the bedrooms. Now that we have the privilege of enjoying a consistently warm and dry home I think it would be really hard to go back to just heating one room. If you can afford it, and your home's ceiling cavity allows for it, get the ducted heat pump system - it is worth every penny!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The complete experience with HRV was faultless from start to finish. The three engineers turned up 5 minutes early , & completed the whole installation in 1 hour & with no mess too clean up! I couldn’t believe they had finished that quickly! I recommend HRV to all.
