Delays
- As a result of aircraft engineering issues, there are delays to some parcels sent by courier between the North and South Islands yesterday in both directions.
Delays to Mail Items:
- Due to precautionary maintenance on some of our electric mail buggies, delays of up to 2 days are expected for mail items across the country. These delays only impact mail delivered through our Paxster fleet – not Courier or Rural items.
- As our posties continue to deliver mail with a reduced fleet and through other means of transport, there is a small backlog forming. This will clear once the Paxsters are back up and running.
Delays to Parcels:
- We are experiencing delays of up to 2 days with parcel deliveries across much of the North Island, excluding Central and East Auckland, Palmerston North and Wellington, and up to 3 days in the Waikato/Hamilton area as a result of ongoing high levels of absenteeism due to illness.
- We are experiencing delays for parcel delivery of up to 2 days across much of the South Island, excluding Nelson, Blenheim, Timaru and Ashburton.
We’re working hard to get all items to their destinations safely but apologise for the inconvenience caused by these delays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is becoming pathetic in logistics industry especially in NZ, courier drivers are so stingy to work for bit extra, I visited depot on Saturday morning to pickup a shipment that was supposed to be delivered, store in-charge informed that it is with courier guy for delivery, it was never delivered until Monday morning
All over weekend it was in courier truck and making customer panic/frustrated
NZ post has to improve their tracking system
Service is becoming poor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My parcel was delivered to somebody else’s house, not once but twice. At first when I called and told my problem, the lady later send me an email stating that the item was delivered to my letterbox when it wasn’t. They put the item to somebody else’s house. Thanks to the person who put the item back to my correct address.
I also had another parcel which was again delivered to the wrong address in the same week when the address was clearly mentioned. This time when I tried to contact, the reply from the guy wasn’t convincing. (Please try to accept your mistakes) We had to go to other’s house to pick the item.
I feel the delivery guy is just looking at the street number not the unit number.
P.S. There are so many houses with same street number but different unit numbers. I hope the delivery guy will properly read the complete address and won’t repeat the mistake again and again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The driver who has the Feilding run needs to pay better attention to the street numbers when making deliveries. There are many houses, flats and units that have similar numbers. Courier Post Palmerston North from the comments it seems like this has been an ongoing issue in Feilding not a good look for your company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been home all day and still instead of tooting at my gate like advised they just left a dam card in my letterbox. No way other than the impossible to navigate 0800 number to make contact. Poor service from a large company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not very impressed I had my parcel sent to work and this morning the I get an email saying it has been delivered and signed for....funny thing is it was "signed" for by the manager....who has her day off today. And nothing was left. Wasn't aware your driver's are able to forge someone's signature???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely shocking service. Takes at least 3-4 days to get parcels from Palmerston North to Feilding which is a 15 minute drive. Paying for overnight delivery means nothing as it takes the same amount of time as a regular courier package - about a week. I called yesterday to ensure my parcel would be delivered by the weekend, was assured they had contacted the driver and it would be delivered yesterday afternoon. When it still hadn't been updated to "on board with courier" this morning, my husband drove to the depot in Palmerston to pick up our parcels, some of which have been at the depot for the last 7 days. He was told that he couldn't even pick them up as they have been moved to the Feilding collection point which is inaccessible to the public! So basically, you pay for a service which isn't provided, and they hold onto your paid-for goods for as long as they want with no repercussions. I tried to ring them multiple times this morning and the number won't even connect. Unbelievable.

I feel that Dave goes the extra mile twice now when something is heavy he has offered to lift it inside which is awesome!
Well done Dave i would be asking for a pay rise! lol
