★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently brought in our Xtrail to get the side doors fixed. Result was great and that’s not the reason for the 1 star.
When we picked it up, my wife was told “Everything has been put back on how it was, so anything that wasn’t working before, isn’t going to be working now.”
We didn’t think much of that, other than we found our rear right passenger lock wasn’t working with the alarm or central locking switch on the drivers door. We thought to ourselves, maybe it wasn’t working before?
Being someone who likes to know how things work, I pulled the door apart to see what part needed to be replaced. On inspection, the door latch mechanism had a plug not plugged in. Lucky I was able to do this myself, as this would have been a world of pain for us to go up against their comment they made when the car was picked up. They would have said it wasn’t working before and cost us to get it fixed elsewhere.
Now, something not being plugged in is VERY different to something that is broken. Seeing they would have to had to re attach and plug everything back in, this is not our fault.
Word of warning for anyone using them, ask them to inspect the car for any parts not working on the car (door locks, door handles, window controls etc.) before they take the car off your hands. That way you will have a leg to stand on when they pull that comment on anyone else.
The work quality was good, however the experience wasn’t.
