โ โ โ โ โ I had the lunchbox and it had all sorts in there, just the right amount and beautiful fresh sashimi. Husband had the steak on hot plate, it was sizzling hot and came with a fried potato fritter and salad and rice. Just the right amount (and he's a 'quantity' man). Great service, little waiting time. Worth the price and did not disappoint. The table next to us ordered teriyaki chicken with prawns on a hotplate. It was a bigger meal with a bit more cost, but would be perfect if I was really hungry.

โ โ โ โ โ The best Japanese restaurant in NZ, chicken teriyaki is tasty, not overly sweet like many others. Katsu curry is my favourite too. Great service.

โ โ โ โ โ We stopped by while passing through Hamilton, we were entirely delighted. The service is a bit slow, but the food it extremely well prepared. The ingredients tasted fresh and the cooking style was close to authentic (we've had Japanese the world over - including Japan).
The goyza, tonkatsu, salmon and akedashi tofu were all really yummy. A special callout for the salmon belly. They also have a set plate for vegetarians.
The staff was friendly and prompt.

โ โ โ โ โ Taste is 5 stars for me. Decent portion sizes as well as decently priced. We ordered the teriyaki salad with beef and another with chicken; these come with miso soup as well as the gyoza dumplings and hot plate prawn to share. The sauce that came with the hot plate prawn was so delicious we ordered some more on the side. The gyoza dumplings were actually quite bigger than I expected which was great. Left this place feeling deliciously satisfied and wanting to try more.

โ โ โ โ โ Looking for Lunch location while visiting Hamilton? Then you should definitely consider this Cafe. We ordered chicken curry and Teriyaki and tempura set. Both comes with salad and miso soup. Curry added with beef and make it taste unique. Tempura were nicely done and teriyaki chicken was nicely grilled.
