β β β β β The stay was lovely, we actually booked in 1 hour before we arrived as we ran away from our original accommodation. The staff was lovely and helpful, the food in room service and restaurants were amazing also, same with coffee. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that there was no free WiFi, which is now available even at the cheapest backpackers. Free guest wifi was limited and you needed to pay extra $10 for 24hrs for full .

β β β β β The standard studio rooms are quite small and probably only appropriate for 1 or 2 night stay. Not sure what the bathroom story is but looks like a half of a farm water tank has been placed in the room! No hand towel provided with our stay. Bottom sheet on bed didnt even cover the whole mattress?
And why no free wifi...really in this day and age!! You can get free wifi in shopping centers now and lesser rated accommodation so why not here and they want $10 a night for it!!!
Really quite average, was only convenient for location.

β β β β β This review reflects on my 14 day isolation here at Ibis Auckland..I had already organised my own accommodation through a family friend whom was giving me his unit whilst he was away..But mandatory isolation by Nz Government changed that.
1/A smooth Transition from Brisbane airport to Auckland airport with very few people a good job from security and airport staff.
2/Pick-up from Auckland by Bus no problems.
3/Check -in procedure at hotel was well done with army, police, medical staff, hotel staff all so welcoming, professional doing there part.
4/Once finished with all the checks done..we all finally got to our rooms after a long day.
5/Reception to hotel staff, security, cleaners, thankyou all for looking after our needs its great to be home.
6/Finally the fellow kiwis you meet was an awesome feeling..new friends along the way.
7/Final day presented with a Ministry of health release form.Thanks.

β β β β β All of the reasons you might want to stay here: Service is great, staff are superbfriendly, seem genuinely happy (mgmt may be doing something right haha) and want to help. The bar has a good selection. It's in a good area right next to the motorway, close to the city but far away enough to not be in the CBD. Train is a 5 min walk away maximum, under 20min ride to the city and under $5. 24hr petrol station across the road. Running track (if you like running). Food is good for the price, lunch menu is affordable. Has an open, comfortable outdoor area. Gated parking, and if it's full you can hand your keys to reception and they will fetch your vehicle or park it once there are spaces available. I stayed in 1068 & 2052 - both had a good amount of light, tree in the window to block traffic and provide privacy. Good place for business/professional gatherings, conferences, concerts at Mount Smart, Vector Arena. They are updating their gym, might be finished by now.
Things to consider: rooms seem to be soundproof but you can hear everything in the hall.
That's all I've got! Stayed here twice over the last 3 weeks, 4 nights in total. Thanks team, many hotels have kinks as expected.. You seem to be running a tight ship and have created the perfect atmosphere.

β β β β β Basic, but perfectly adequate. Rooms quite small and plain with afterthought bathroom built in to the corner, but clean and warm. Windows don't open so can get a little stuffy. Buffet breakfast as you would expect. Room service prompt, menu a little limited. Got charged extra for Wi-Fi - not what you expect in this day and age. Fine for a short stay.

β β β β β Arrived after 10pm and i was warmly welcomed by Roan the duty manager. She breezed through the formalities and sorted my parking problem with ease and a big smile. Facilities are shared between the Novotel and Ibis and on this occasion the novotel was full but my ibis room was perfectly adequate and the bed linens were cool and smooth. I was very happy with my one night stay and will be back.

β β β β β I have been here for managed isolation. I was in solo room which was good. Excellent service across board. If I could point out something to improve could be vegetarian food options. Overall excellent. IBIS Team you rockβ€οΈβ€οΈ You frontline people make NZ a best place to stay mainly in such tough times?????

β β β β β I'm staying here in MIQ at the moment. I can't believe somebody actually thought this place up and then built it.
It is like sitting in an airplane. Windows cannot open. Constant loud zoom from the air-conditioning. Constant loud zoom from the bathroom. Luckily the fridge starts up making noise too for a change.
It's a horrible thought having to stay here for two weeks.
