About Birthright Associates
A newborn baby cannot distinguish between night and day and does not have a cyclical body rhythm until 2 weeks.
They will wake when hungry and fall asleep when full, at any time of the day and night.
Babies will remain asleep for periods lasting 20 minutes to five hours and between sleeps are either awake or feeding. A newborn sleeps for approximately 60% of the time – some more, some less.
By 6-8 weeks they will start to sleep more at night than during the day and may have one longer stretch during the night.
By three months they are likely to have one longer wakeful patch in the day – usually in the afternoon or evening.
Babies continue to wake several times at night and very few will sleep longer that 4-5 hours at four months. Babies will wake more frequently during a growth spurt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have had a fantastic experience with Birthright and met most of the staff there now. They are all fantastic, however we have to call out Dr Mahesh Harilall who is absolutely OUTSTANDING. He is a man of action, very thorough, fills in all the gaps and provides plenty of information (even things you never think of).
Olivia Smith was our saving grace after a long labour sent us into theatre and got the job done. Olivia was also our Dr for the implanting of the embryo so it really came full circle. She is super caring, easy to deal with and a fantastic Dr.
We are so, so happy with the care from all the Doctors and mid-wives and staff. It has been a pleasure dealing with them and we are so in love with our new baby boy. Thank you so very much.

You don’t know until you’ve had your baby but for me, it was worth it. I believe that without my obstetrician, my delivery would have turned out very differently. Your specialist delivers your baby and they can make the tough calls that your midwife can not make.
It’s about trust. You are putting your health and the health of your baby into their hands, so you better make sure that you trust their judgement.
I would use their services again if I have another baby.... IF I have another one... lol.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely outstanding service. After giving birth to my first son, and seeing the difference it made going through Birthright vs the public system, I wouldn’t have it any other way. My delivery was flawless and every hiccup along the way was reassured. I now have a healthy 6 week old and truly believe I wouldn’t be here without them. All the doctors and midwives have been amazing, they are all very caring and made sure the experience I had was top of the line. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I completely disagree with the review below. I'm currently in my second pregnancy and Birthright has been my LMC throughout both pregnancies. The care I've had has been exceptional. My first pregnancy was complicated and I firmly believe my little boy had the best outcome possible thanks to the amazing doctors who looked after us. I'm due to give birth to my second son in the next few weeks, with peace of mind, knowing that once again we're in excellent hands.

We had Dr Mahesh Harilal deliver our son via C-section and have only the most positive things to say about him. He was incredible, went above and beyond every step of the way and we are grateful to have been in such wonderful hands for the entire pregnancy. I would highly recommend.

I was having my third baby and the first time with an obstetrician and I can say it was definitely worth it. They make you feel at ease and feel confident that they are there to help you take the lead in planning your birth. And I felt so at ease knowing that if there were any complications they would have the experience and expertise to take care of me and my baby. Thank you again ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can’t speak highly enough of Birthright. All of the obstetricians were amazing to deal with, super informative and caring. After going through IVF and being high risk we knew from the first appointment we were in safe hands.
Dr Olivia Stuart delivered our twin boys via elective c section and we can’t speak highly enough of her. Right from us entering her room in the hospital she was professional and super excited for us. This followed on throughout the c section and after it was over my partner made comment that she was as excited as we were and her passion shined through. Thank you Dr for safely bringing our twin boys into this world we can never thank you enough ❤️
