About IKitchen
When we researched the DIY kitchen company market in New Zealand and compared it against what was available for the same price in the European market fourteen years or so ago, we were astonished. What we found was a local market offering poor quality and somewhat homogeneous products, at anything but competitive prices. The so-called chain stores were building layers of overhead costs into what was essentially, an inferior market offering.
iKitchen set out to enable our customers to source a high quality DIY kitchen for around 40% – 70% less than can be achieved with a custom kitchen. Just like in Northern Hemisphere countries. At iKitchen we are proud to achieve this day in day out, you just have to do a little bit yourself to save thousands of $$$.

Compliance with International E1 Standards
The E-1 Formaldehyde Emission Standard was created by the European Union in Brussels and, is the most stringent furniture manufacturing rating system in the world.
The system assigns a rating of E-1 to E-5. This relates to the source of base materials and the degree of chemicals and dangerous Formaldehyde off-gassing produced during the manufacturing process. E-1 is the best rating with zero off-gassing while a rating of E-5 is the worst, with significant off-gassing.
All iKitchens adhere to the highest E-1 standard with zero Formaldehyde off-gassing. This ensures minimal impact on both your home and our outdoor environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would not recommend IKitchen to anyone after the painful experience we had with them.
Our kitchen arrived with missing and faulty panels, it took months for us to finally receive the correct panels after receiving multiple faulty and / or incorrect replacements.
We had to constantly chase IKitchen to get a status update, they did not return our calls on many occasions and this was the most frustrating part.
I agree with someones comments below about Ken being difficult to deal with and Karen didn’t seem to know what was happening with our order. If you do purchase from IKitchen and need any assistance then Michael is the person who you should ask for as he was the most helpful but still we needed to chase him.
The quality of the product is OK which is the reason they get 1 star. I would not consider using IKitchen again.
If you do purchase from IKitchen then my advice would be to hold some money back as you may need some leverage if things go wrong.

The quality of cabinets was great and the price tag was definitely affordable! We will be doing our kitchen soon and will definitely be doing it through iKitchen.

We expected to have to wait until lockdown was over before it would be delivered but ikitchen rang us and told us it would be delivered the next day.....they worked round the clock to ensure no one was left waiting and we were so appreciative. When we installed the kitchen we noticed a small issue with the pantry door not sitting entirely flush and sent ikitchen some photos. They sorted out a new door for us, within a week and sent someone around to fix it onsite. So impressed with the service and love our new kitchen! Will definitely use them again when we get to the laundry
