About Indomitable Mind Body Combat Academy
Indomitable Mind Body Combat Academy is a martial arts training institute which provides training in Olympic style Taekwondo as well as the Israeli Krav Maga hand to hand system.
Our school provides a regular weekly excercise and self-defense schedule for you and your family. Feel healthy, look good and feel safe by enrolling in our classes.
All classes are run inside the Scout Hall of the Blockhouse Bay community centre. Equipment such as kicking bags, punching mits, focus pads and dummy weapons are provided for the students by the school for the classes.
We are able to supply uniforms and protective equipment to our students.

David is very patient and his warm welcoming made me feel like family straight away. He’s shown me tactics that I can do if the worst happened! I 100% recommend doing a class, your first is free and you have nothing to lose!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dave Dumolo knows his stuff. He teaches Krav Maga and Taekwondo, but it is his Krav Maga classes that i want to review here. Krav Maga is a self defence system that includes techniques from judo, jujitsu, karate, Western Boxing and wrestling. The techniques are simple and based on instinctual body movements and are therefore easy to learn and use when you're under stress. Some examples of what are taught are: how to get out of a headlock, how to escape from a choke hold when someone is o top of you, and how to defend yourself from someone with a knife.
Dave teaches these techniques in a clear and easy to understand manner. He is welcoming to new people and takes the extra effort with those who may be struggling with a technique. Dave creates an atmosphere of inclusive learning, treating all members equally and with respect.
I had trained previously at a good Krav Maga club in Edinburgh (Scotland) and I'm very happy to be training with Dave as my instructor.

David is an excellent trainer, motivates and emphasises on technique. Krav Maga made me stronger physically, mentally and definitely increased my self confidence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been training Krav Maga for four years with Dave at IMBC Academy. When I started I was a complete rookie at martial arts, but Dave helped me gain confidence quickly. Dave is a very patient and thorough teacher, and always makes sure you are using correct technique. He is friendly in approach but serious about the learning. He creates a great atmosphere in the classes and new people quickly feel like they are part of the team. I recommend Dave's classes to anyone wanting to learn a very effective method of self defence from a great teacher.
