About Ingrid Saxton Celebrant
Being a celebrant is an honour and a privilege as I meet many wonderful people as we work together creating unique ceremonies - whatever it may be.
I'm a Wellingtonian, (but born and raised in Hawkes' Bay) and married to Michael for more than 40 years. We have two wonderful adult children and three gorgeous grandchildren.
I love meeting people from all walks of life and different cultures, learning about your life and your love story so I can create a beautiful ceremony for you. Everyone is different and so your ceremony will be unique. I'll make sure the words spoken reflect who you are as a family, a couple and as individuals.
Over the past 25 years I worked as an independent contractor in government, specialising in procurement, events and project management, each requiring excellent listening and writing skills. Skills that will ensure your ceremony is memorable to you and your guests and is the least stressful part of your day.
Life is short - let's have some fun by celebrating one of your wonderful moments.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our original wedding plans changed dramatically, as it did for a lot of couples planning a 2020 wedding! We decided late in the year to elope in Wellington. With that we needed to find a celebrant who could provide a special service reflecting on our 'would have been' and absent family and friends but also celebrate us becoming husband and wife and acknowledge the commitment we were making to each other.... enter Ingrid! From our first Zoom meeting Ingrid got us organised whilst gently soothing any uncertainties we had. Like I said, our planning started again and that included choosing somewhere to exchange vows. Ingrid had the answer to this too suggesting the family's Tussock Ridge Shepherd's Hut which captured all of our favourite elements. Ingrid's passion and patience for wanting to reflect and incorporate 'us' in our service was wonderful and she guided us through the whole process - including foolproof instructions for applying for our marriage license! She accommodated our requests and captured our love for each other so well. Her warmth towards love and marriage is infectious and regardless of our simplified wedding day we felt on top of the world - and that is not just because we were stood on a cliff top! The service that Ingrid wrote for us was perfect, creating smiles, tears, love and time for reflection as she delivered it without fault on the day. We cannot thank her enough for all her effort, time and kindness as she kept us company on our journey to being announced husband and wife. We would recommend Ingrid wholeheartedly :)

She welcomed us to her home, and was warm, friendly and a had a good sense of humour. Initially all we wanted was a registry wedding, but since the date we wanted falls on a holiday we ended up having a personalized wedding. In which we are very thankful for, especially when Ingrid showed us the flow of the wedding. She was able to incorporate all our answers to her questionnaire to make our wedding a simple but sweet ceremony. She was very hands on with regards to our preparation for the wedding, she even added little touches that would set a lovely mood to our day. Also, her place at Ohariu Valley was lovely, you would not realize that you are still in Wellington because of the stunning view of the surroundings. We would definitely recommend Ingrid to anyone who is looking for a celebrant.

There were also lots of lovely little personal and special touches that made our registry wedding feel extra special. A beautiful spot to get married and highly recommended.
