About Jude Best Celebrant
I have been a venue owner and planner for 16 years, a celebrant for the last 6 years , and have journeyed through hundreds of weddings over this time. I have a wealth of experience to draw on.
In a past life I have been a registered Nurse, loving my time in the Oncology unit. I am a mother of three fantastic adult children, live on a real farm with views and access to the Cook Strait, love walking (as in up and down hills), yoga , pilates , gardening and coffee. We try and eat as much as we can from the garden. I am a serious romantic and 33 years of marriage later, love being in love.
If you are thinking about a registry wedding I invite you out to our beautiful country garden or I will travel to your home if local (15 minutes away ).
If looking for a personalised ceremony , we can have a cuppa and a chat , or meet up via zoom if out of Wellington or New Zealand .
For personalised ceremonies I can travel to any location you both choose within Wellington and the Wairapa eg: a venue like Ohariu Farm , Boomrock, The Pines , Shed 5 , The Boat Shed , Wallaceville House , Silverstream Retreat or a church - ( maybe Old St Pauls ) , Botanical gardens - Bergonia House ( the Duck pond or Remembrance gardens are popular ), beach, bush ( Wilton bush , Rivendell ) , or at your home.

Even though we opted for a short registry ceremony it was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Jude Best as a celebrant. The venue is also beautiful and a great location for a ceremony.

For a bit of context, we're not kiwis, we originally planned to get married elsewhere, but due to the ongoing events in the world, we decided to settle for something simple in New-Zealand. We thought it would be a simple formality, something that has to be done, and we went there a bit sad that our families could not be there. Instead we got a wonderful memory, made so memorable by the help, the class, the kindness and overall great personnality of Jude, as well as her charming & historic place. We thank her so much for making this day unforgettable and so joyful, thank you Jude !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jude is the best ?. I struggled to find the celebrant and to find what to do. I go to her website so simple and clear. I had to contact her. She is quick and clear. Very friendly. Since the phone call.. And even better in person. And her place for registry wedding... Ohh Man!! So awesome!! Gazebo, garden, flowers... Just perfect. Even in covid condition we can't do the big ceremony now. But that is already a beautiful moment we had to start with.
