Inhabit opened in New Zealand’s harbour capital in 1979 and has supplied quality, New Zealand made furniture nationwide for the past 41 years.
We are proud to promote furniture from New Zealand companies with world-class products. Our furniture is environmentally low-impact – made locally, using plantation-grown timbers. Our goal is to bring you the very best in design, function and value.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Top marks. Store has some fantastic products that will also suit smaller living spaces - things that you will not find in other shops (and I've spent enough time looking) and are also NZ-made. Staff are helpful, knowledgeable, and not pushy. Well worth a visit.

The staff are extremely knowledgeable about what they sell and the real-world tradeoffs between different pieces, and the depth of their knowledge even extends to the history of individual fabrics. They checked what our needs actually were and talked us down from a more costly option to something that better fit our needs. They even offered to loan us a couple foam mattresses from the floor to use until our order would be ready to deliver.

Great range and extremely keen to work with you to help get what you want. Furniture is all NZ made which I'm a bag fan of. Highly recommend a visit!

Because they have relationships with their suppliers the process of discussing a design and the option to make some choices is to me a really big advantage.
Currently in the process of ordering a custom dining table.
I'll update this review when we have had delivery.
