★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whilst travelling through Kaikoura I had an dental emergency which the doctor treated due to only local dentist on holiday. The Doctor was awesome. Pity the receptionist lacked professionalism and her advise was terrible..”we are not a dentist, go to rangiora or Christchurch” clearly not helping my situation with an abscess and temperature....and when I advised her I needed antibiotics, her bad attitude did not help my situation. She is not only a terrible receptionist she is clearly not a medical professional. Wish I had vomited on the floor for her to clean up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The local doctors are great but I recommend showing up an hour late for your appointment because you WILL be waiting for at least an hour every time. Also, some of the locum doctors they have in are awful. Last time I saw one, they told me I "didn't look depressed" and dismissed all of my health concerns. Has the potential to be a great practice but has the worst time management of any medical centre I've ever been to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Almost impossible to get an appointment here. You best be on fire when you go to reception, then they might take notice of you. Even when trying to call this place 9/10 times you are transferred to a voicemail service they don't check for hours and hours. By the time they ring back you are cured from whatever ailment you were calling for ! Was going to take 3 weeks to be seen as some Drs were away on leave and others had left. Not enough staff to run the hospital that's for sure.
