About Karori Arts & Crafts
In the early years, classes and groups met in church halls or each other's homes to share their common interests and for companionship. Then in 1993, the Newman Centre was built as the result of the generosity of Dorothy and Stanley Newman. This purpose built facility is warm, roomy and has good light for arts and crafts of all types.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent and cosy place very well furnished and equipped for patrons/members to do and enjoy their art and craft work. There are classes on arts and crafts offered in the centre by skilled teachers for new beginners on arts and crafts, for examples, classes on drawings, quilting, needle crafts, photography and etc. I highly recommend it to anyone who are interested in craft hobbies to come in to visit and see the place. It is a good place to meet others and see or share their work of arts and crafts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An inspiring, educational and social hub. The facilities are fantastic with a lot of equipment available to use at free of charge for members.
Memberships are very affordable!
Also offers great classes including fabric weaving which I teach. If weaving interests you look me up on Facebook under the name Weaving Wellington.
