★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolutely wonderful place to stay on Whangaparaoa Peninsula. Great views, especially at sunrise, and surrounded by bush, with bird songs playing daily. The property, reached by way of a staircase, is fully equipped and designed for easy living: a/c, comfy sitting room, cable tv, two cosy bedrooms and a very functional bathroom (shower - no bath). Laundry downstairs. Easy access by car to shopping and cafes. Whangaparaoa is a lovely area and Kereru cottage is the place to stay.
