I booked two separate trips for a 10 person van on Saturday night. Both drivers called me to confirm around 20 minutes prior, and turned up promptly on time at the time we ordered. It made our day run so smoothly, we will definitely book with you again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Initially I called the company for a quote which I accepted. The driver was punctual, professional and friendly.so we booked a return trip. Several days later we noticed the fare charged on line was approximately double the quoted fare but we assumed it was an error.
However when we went to pay, the quote didn’t include the extra charges

We have never had a quote which only included the actual mileage. Obviously it wasn’t a true quote and a reputable company would honor a quote even if they made an error when responding to my call.
I hope others don’t have this experience as it left us with a bad feeling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down the most trustworthy taxi company in the christchurch city. I left a bag of high value in the taxi on a busy Saturday night and the team did everything in their power to get it back to me. The dispatcher Raj is honest and incredible at his job - he went out of his way to make sure my bag was returned to the right person and with every single item untouched. Shout out to Sukh who returned my belongings within a timely and professional manner about 27 km far from christchurch central in rolleston. he also helped us to book our wine tasting trip in waipara. A life long customer has just been gained and I will be recommending this company to all of my friends. Thank you king cabs christchurch Taxi!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not only is this company far more expensive than others in general, they also scammed my disabled family member out of more money. After emailing with them and catching them in lies to try and justify their actions, they have ghosted me and stopped replying. I would highly recommend using a different company. Not impressed with companies who take advantage of the disabled and can't face the consequences.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked an early morning trip from Rolleston to the airport. Online quote was for $80. They rang me to confirm the time. After driving me there, the driver asked for $90 in cash, though my booking was for online/EFTPOS payment. I felt the driver was being dishonest, and I asked to have a receipt. He showed me the app which revealed a charge of $85. I gave him $90 in cash and he said "here's a $5 discount for paying in cash". The driver also appeared to rate himself 5 stars on the app on my behalf.
I submitted this incident on the King Cabs app and did not receive a response.
No complaints about the travel, the professionalism could use some work.
EDIT: King Cabs contacted me, apologised and have given the driver a warning. I've updated my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars since King Cabs responded transparently and professionally, and ultimately I would use them again.
