★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came to Kings Garden Cafe in Botany today with my sisters on Queens Birthday. We put our name down for a table at 10:15AM and was given a table in about 20 minutes.
The menu was a little limited and nothing too special for vegetarians (mostly just options without bacon). The cabinet options were also limited with mostly sandwiches and some baked goods.
My Poached Eggs on toast was perfectly done with a gooey centre. Coffee was great and the sparkling water for the table is a nice touch

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a welcome discovery in otherwise uninspiring Te Irirangi Drive.
They serve Mojo coffee ? and have an interesting range of menu and cabinet food. Service is friendly and prompt, and the venue is very spacious with couches and tables having generous distancing. Everything I saw and experienced gave me confidence in their hygiene practices.
Recommended even if you're not shopping at Kings Plant Barn or fading away from an interminable wait at the A&E next door. I was impressed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the 1st place we had brunch after lockdown finished - was great to go out into a new place and give it a go, and we will be back to try the rest! It's definitely a step up on the old cafe - this is a Destination Cafe with a garden centre attached, rather than the traditional cheap tearooms pretending to be a cafe hidden at the back of the garden centre.
Really nice layout and design - very much an "ikea Swedish" look complemented by fresh plants everywhere (as you would expect in a garden centre), with friendly service and a can-do attitude. A nice touch is that you can access directly from the road and the car park rather than having to fight your way through the retail in the garden centre. One little design issue for some customers: The flat reflective surfaces do mean a bit of noise when it's busy, so head out to the tables in the garden if you want a bit less bustle or you're hard of hearing.
The Covid-19 L2 menu is a little reduced from the regular, but has all the essential brunch options, with a well crafted and fancy creamy porridge with the essential fruity and crunchy bits, terrific "big breakfast" for anyone wanting the full english, and a good Eggs Bene with the *outstanding* twist of including a zesty Spanish black bean hummus. Seriously, that black bean hummus is a star.
Nice one, Kings! I hear the other stores may be updating to this style cafe soon, and look forward to it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow! The food here was next level! Everything was made in house with high quality ingredients. The staff were friendly, professional and efficient. A huge improvement on the cafe that used to be here. Very impressed and will be back soon... Maybe even tomorrow!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely interior but terrible chairs! And for a cafe where you want to sit and enjoy time with people and good food, I had to find a cushion to sit on to be comfortable. Please change them! Menu is good - accounts for many dietary requirements. Cabinet food is also good but you need to ask about what suits any dietary req's as they don't detail those on the labels. Nice spacious area to sit in and good area for kids to play in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend this lovely cafe I was so impressed with the friendly efficient service I received today. Staff made us feel welcome and looked after us, bringing water and making sure everything was to our liking. The food and coffee were excellent. They have a great selection of cabinet food and a great menu. They had a well organised system operating to ensure everyone was scanned in. The cafe was spotless, was so impressed with the high standard of service. Well done to the amazing team you have here. I will make sure I come back.
