★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Safe shallow beach with clear water, usually sheltered unless a storm surf is running.
There is a dog exercise area and of course Lukes on the far eastern end, the best spot around for a coffee or food, outside of the main centers.
The beach faces North towards Great Barrier Island in the distance and the Mercury chain of islands is also in the distance out to the east running north / south.
