★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bread that we bought today was actually falsely advertised as freshly baked and was warm on the outside but was completely frozen in the inside. You could see upon closer inspection that the crust was too hard and you could actually cut yourself if you broke it open. It would have been understandable if the bread was cheap but it cost $9 for a loaf the size of 20 cm. It ruined my day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just went earlier today, and wow it’s so tasty and delicious. I tried the mini donut and their new choux with crystal sugar on top. Definitely going to recommend both of them 100/100, I just graduated from a pastry diploma and I can definitely say it’s worth trying everything. The mini choux had sugar crystals on top which was little bit crunchy and goes really well with the smooth and creamy pastry cream filling. Can’t wait to visit again❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We keep on coming back here after I gave birth as we really love the pastries and this time with our baby, she likes croissant but wouldn't finish it all however, when I let her tried La Jaconde's, she managed to ate everything! (Well, when I was pregnant with her, I was craving La Jaconde's pastries and kept on visiting the bakery even though it's a bit far away from us)You must pay this bakery a visit and try all their heavenly pastries, you'll know and see what I mean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is absolutely amazing- the best pastry in all NZ! I have been to Paris and this guy puts them to shame. Everything is made fresh that morning, and even when he uses out of season berries etc they are so fresh! I highly recommend the little custard pastries and the caramel nut tarts. I have been going here for years and have never been disappointed.
