I really don't care much about bakeries. I find most bakeries same-same. Then just days ago, I discovered La Tropezienne, a nice French bakery, and oh boy, not only their bakery look unique compared to other bakeries, they taste undeniably scrumptious!!! I've never had such nice tasting bakery for a long long time. Everything I bought, my family (including myself) loved. The price was surprisingly reasonable too. I was served by a friendly French (I think!) guy who explained to me what was what. Man this is hands down, one of THE best bakeries in New Zealand. If you like exquisite and very tasty bakeries, this is the place to go - highly highly recommended. Give it a go if you haven't.

Tucked away just behind the main road with its own car park area is this great French bakery / Cafe. So much yummy cakes desserts sweets to choose from. Also a good selection of savoury items like quiches croissants and more. A nice selection of fresh baked bread as well. Lots of indoor seating and also a good amount of outdoor seating.

Polite helpful staff Good variety of food both savoury and sweet Reasonable price Sad though about ambience. Large windows/ patio doors really dirty obviously not cleaned a while and as I was looking out through them because if this lack of attention it made me think of other cleaning hygienic things about the cafe, especially being a medical person. Cafe rather noisy for my liking and patio doors when left open which was often sent in an awful draft which was uncomfortable. Having said all this, I would return but perhaps when quieter or take away. ?

Just dropped in for coffee and Pain au Raisin. Both delicious. Sat outside. Plenty of space, plenty of seats and tables. About 10 tables outside. About 7 of the tables for 4 people. 3 large tables seat probably 10 people per table. More seating inside.

After 6 years and a month of lock downs I finally got the chance to try my favorite French Pastry Shop. It was unfortunate they were out of my favorite almond croissants. I decided to try their bacon and eggs croissant and a couple of regular croissants. Everything was pretty good and satisfying. And I finally got my Cappuccino fix after a month...
