Either as a stopover while you're transiting through Golden Bay, or as a place to park up for longer while exploring the area, it's a great little getaway.
Ken and Steve, who run the guest house, are incredibly kind and hospitable. The beds, pillows, linen and towels are divine and the whole place inhabits this beautiful space in between homely and luxe. Everything is super new and clean as it apparently only opened up recently - and the wi-fi is great, which was important for me as I needed to work from my room.
If you walk out of the back gate, you're literally IN the Labyrinth Rocks, which is neat. And the gorgeous expansive gardens on the property are punctuated by dramatic limestone outcrops that divide the land into little pockets for you to explore on a long walk. It makes the place feel special and very relaxing.
