β β β β β The food was good, as usual. The fish and chips are described as famous, and they are. The Buffalo wings hit the spot too.

β β β β β The food is amazing, I recommend the garden burger and pan fried fish and chips. The view is just breath taking and you can spend a long time just looking at the ocean.

β β β β β Beautiful place way down the other end of the country side. The caffe setting is so nice with outside seating with umbrellas, overlooking the beautiful ocean view. Next door is a fantastic airbnb which I would love to book for a quiet weekend. We did a short walk and watching people fishing, and we ended up having lunch at the Cafe. Will plan to and stay over next time.

β β β β β A journey almost to the end of the road. Great environment in a beautiful locality. Staff coped well with being short-handed to serve the large midday crowd. Don't miss the opportunity if you're in the district.

β β β β β Had a meal twice in the last week. Both first class; friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Some of the reviews are 'nit picking' and show a total ignorance of the difficulties of operating a hospitality business in the current climate. Support this restaurant; you will not be disappointed.

β β β β β A time capsule place. You could imagine yourself back in the 1940's or 50's relaxing by the sea, waiting for the ferry (now doesn't exist).
The menu offers predominantly Kai moana, food from the sea, well presented and ample on the plate.

β β β β β Stopped in while on a drive around the area and thankful that I did! Seafood chowder was spectacular and went down lovely with a cold beer, not to mention the beautiful scenery while enjoying your meal! Am looking forward to coming here again on my next visit to the area.

β β β β β Great friendly service from a very busy waitress. Been here several times and always enjoy the atmosphere and the views from the hotel and from our room. The chowder at lunch was excellent, lots of fish content. Fish (2 pieces), chips and salad were up to the usual high standard. Generous serving and good value for the price. A wonderful surprise in the afternoon from a talented old gentleman who played violin and sang. Bed was comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. We do have a suggestion. A little after 9pm the very loud alarms went off. With the other guests we assembled in the corridor, not knowing whether there was a fire, where in the building it might be, or how to turn off the alarm. It eventually stopped. Would have been good to have a phone number to ring and report it. Good breakfast. We will be back!
