Near by are also the steaming cliffs. You better have a lot of gas in the car and a good bladder, because New Zealand doesn't seem to have any rest stops. We had already drove over 4 hours and not one rest stop or gas station. A lot of sheep & cows, a few homes & lookout points, but that's it. Beautiful country though.

R	Ronnie Hoogenberg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This look out is fantastic but the local council needs to visit more often and trim the shrubbery so one dosen't have to climb onto the top of the fence railing to get the best of this stopover. The day we stopped the views were perfect with exceptional clarity. Well worth the short time to stop and admire, lets make a noise too get the council to do their jobs properly.
H	HoliGigi !! on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great view from both side: lakescape in one side and porsches in the other. Restful area where you can enjoy nature not too far from the road. The driveway is pretty narrow so be aware and drive carefully! Rubbish bin on site.
