Have been with Lantern for several years. Service is shocking. Phone waiting times are a minimum 40mins. No replies to emails. I will be changing insurers. Not good enough Lantern!!

It is Friday Afternoon 23rd October and I have been waiting for someone to answer my phone call for nearly one hour. I called you at 2.55pm and it is now 3.45pm and finally a lady answered the phone. I explained to her the time I have been waiting to get through to Lantern and she agreed with me that people are always complaining please check your voice recording But after speaking with her she starting to tell me how hard she worked and you were short staffed, so I have decided to seek another insurance company. To be told by a member of your staff that the reason for the lack of service is because you are short staffed, quite frankly is appalling . Without your customers there would be no need to have any clients to worry about.

Really great if you love spending hours on hold. If you want new insurance, make a claim, or have a general enquiry, you can enjoy endless hours of terrible music, interrupted every 90 seconds or so by a voice asking you to continue to hold. If you ever get to talk to an actual person they seem to be friendly and helpful.

Still waiting for someone to answer phone. This is my 4th attempt over the past 2 days. Unfortunately I do have other things to do, so have had to hang up and wait until I have the time to sit waiting!!! Emailed yesterday for someone to call and received email back that they will respond between 10 and 15 working day...what is going on. I need to add insurance to my policy today for new vehicle...........guess I will be going elsewhere...shame have always received great service and responses. PS I am hanging up and going elsewhere right now!!!

What has happened to you guys?? I've been a client for 27 years and you used to be great. Now, when I email you tell me you'll take up to THREE WEEKS TO REPLY!!!!!!!!! Are you Serious? And when I call, I spend literally HOURS on hold. I'm sorry but you guys are about to lose ALL our business not just the new car. The 3 houses, the boat, the other 4 cars... they're all going elsewhere very soon. Up your game for goodness sake. You're a business!!!

They have OK claims handling, but totally appalling phone customer service. Waited 35 minutes in a queue for the commercial team, who then said they couldn't help and put me back on hold for the personal insurance team who then put me on hold again, collected some info, put me on hold again, then after getting a lot more information put me back on hold to wait for the commercial insurance team again! Total time on the call 1hr 20 minutes, time actually talking no more than 10 minutes!

I was wanting to insure a fleet of commercial vehicles. After 1.5 hours on hold I gave up. If I ran my business this way I would be bankrupt. My advice is go to AA insurance. Lantern are a waste of space.

I have had no satisfaction from this insurer, we flooded, paid excess and had two carpets cleaned (3 rooms would of been cheaper), a sarcastic response from a worker which was not necessary, no support, no investigation to my claims why I flooded. Maintenance on the Road, drains were re-placed, some drains not fully completed, upgraded drains were blocked with silt have only just been cleaned, had these all been in place we would not have flooded, the insurer have not investigated my claims.
