β β β β β Wonderful place to stay in a lovely peaceful setting. We enjoyed a week recently over the Christmas break. Ideal base for exploring Queenstown and the Wakatipu Basin. Direct access to the Queenstown Bike trails. Friendly hosts and wonderful fur buddies.

β β β β β Staying with Steve and Sheena in their beautiful restored homestead was an absolute treat - it is the picture-perfect setting for a relaxing getaway as well as a great base for getting out and about in the great outdoors.
Sheena and Steve make for great company, full of stories and information about the Queenstown area and always willing to help out where they can. The fur kids, Pinot, Merlot, Gibbston and Stormy the cat are just beautiful, the friendliest dogs and smoochiest cat you ever will meet! I loved my stay there and highly recommend it.

β β β β β We have now stayed twice with Sheena & Steve, and the lovely fur-children. First was with our 11 year old son - he loved interacting with the dogs, jumping on the trampoline and checking out the rabbits.
The second time was an adults only weekend - despite terrible weather which caused a power outage for a number of hours, we still enjoyed ourselves. Steve even offered to bring us food back from an excursion into Frankton to save us the trip.
This is a great place to stay - the facilities are lovely, we've always been made to feel welcome, and the setting is idyllic.

β β β β β I have enjoyed several visits to Laurel Bank House staying in the Carole-Anne Room. I have always had great service. The bedroom is warm with a nice cosy bed and the unique bathroom has a lovely shower. I will continue to enjoy watching the progress as this grand old historical homestead gets nearer completion.

β β β β β Positive: Beautiful surroundings. Pets. Host quick to give refund when it was clear things werenβt working out.. Negative: Rooms tiny. Bathroom insecure, curtains see through. Bathroom shared between multiple rooms, 5-10 people. Lots of corridor and neighbouring bedroom noise. Thereβs shabby chic and then thereβs just shabby..
