★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT STAY HERE.
We went to check in and the lights were off and no one was there. We rang the doorbell a dozen times, knocked as loud as we could, and called the owner (Daniel) and got sent to voicemail. After waiting an hour we left and contacted our travel agency. The owner lied and said he was there the whole time... and refuses to refund anything. Enjoy the $600 that you did nothing for.
Your reply is simply not true. We were parked right in front of that garage in that picture, there was a sign with Tauhara Sunrise Lodge at the bottom of the hill. Pressing that little door bell that rings like a phone and hangs up after a minute. Don't call me a liar I was there from 330PM to 430PM and attempted calling you multiple times. We were very upset with your lack of service and lies!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful stay in the Chalet d'Amour suite at the Tauhara Sunrise Lodge. Becky cooked a lovely meal and we sat around the table after the meal sharing and swopping stories and tips for travels. Thank you Becky for your hospitality and making our stay in Taupo memorable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were thrilled to win a night at this luxury B&B and were not disappointed. Becky and Rob were wonderful hosts and made us feeel as though we were family friends staying over. The spacious luxury very private chalet with its classy wonderful features and multimillion dollar views made our stay just perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We absolutely LOVED our stay at Tauhara Sunrise, it was a wonderful start to our honeymoon in New Zealand. Becky was the perfect hostess. We stayed in the Chalet d'Amour, which is a separate guest house from the main house. We were in town to attend a Wedding, Becky offered to drive us over so that we could enjoy the celebration and then take a taxi home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The drinks and canapés they serve on their beautiful balcony were such a delightful touch. Rob and Becky definitely have an amazing service going. Great breakfasts and 'happy hour' is not to be missed. The house exudes a relaxed atmosphere particularly during the pre dinner get together of the guests.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the good fortune of spending 6 nights here in January. Accommodations are first class, views are amazing and Daniel our Host was more than helpful. Not only did he arrange all our dinner bookings but he actually made us some great eggs each morning. :) Also offered great tips on where to go and what to see. If you are passing through the Taupo area, do yourself a favor and stay here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked this ro***tic, spacious and very private super delux Chalet d'Amour for a special ro***tic weekend away to impress my partner and deliver a marriage proposal. Nice amenities and a kitchenette next door from which we cold get tea, coffee, soft drinks and wine. The service was amazing and the breakfast was delishes served home made pancakes and chatted away with the owner. Great location to see the lake from your bedroom window.

In the evenings they would host a happy hour on their balcony looking out at the beautiful Lake Taupo where the guests could get together snack, chat and taste some local wine. Becky was a wonderful host with plenty to offer in house as well as providing plenty of insider information on the area to explore.
