★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place to eat in Paihia! Families this is a great place for you! Good affordable meals that fill you up. The food is of high quality. It's great for tourists dine in, see some of New Zealands history at the RSA (Returned Service Association). The place also does some wicked catering deals! Love the platters these guys do. So all in all great value for money and a you won't leave hungry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst experience I have had from them orded , only half the menu available and we ordered 3 meals all poor quality, garlic bread had mould on it macaroni cheese was dry and grainie , steak was over cooked and not medium rear, chips were cold and the old boy has a upset stomach after eating the mussels and mushroom sauces was runny not creamy and the salad was soggy.
And the staff should be wearing hats or hair nets and attitude of the cook sucks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not impressed with food at all. Yogurt sauce burnt my mouth and couldn't enjoy the rest of my meal, so i returned it to kitchen and chef through out whole batch as he agreed it was definitely too spicy, but no discount offered for the inconvenience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst food ever, tasted like it was cooked the previous day or even longer ago and reheated. Even the chips looked and tasted like they were refried from yesterday's left overs. Medium rare steak was overcooked and even tasted like it was reheated and had been microwaved. Brisket was very dry and smothered in sauce to mask it. Coleslaw was dry and old, looked and tasted like it had been left uncovered in the fridge for a few days. Not impressed at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took a hour for fish and chips, sausages with patatoe mash and kids macaroni cheese.
5 orders in front of us and 3 behind but still got ours last due to taking it away, far too long for what we wanted.
Patatoes were chuncky mashed, macaroni was flourie, and the f&c was way over priced for 2 medium fillets chips and salad. Been here many times but since new owners took over the standard off food has been poor.
Won't be coming back?
