About Little London Medical Clinic
This busy central Hamilton medical practice was founded right next door to its current iconic site in 1911 by the late Dr Tim Rogers, who developed a reputation for goodwill and kindness, looking after many Hamilton families, particularly the more needy among them. He practiced for about 60 years and was joined in the practice by his two sons, Anthony and Dennis, both general practitioners.
The Rogers brothers were influential in local and national politics. Dennis was mayor of Hamilton from 1959-1968, and Anthony was the Labour MP for Hamilton East from 1972-1975. They were also stalwart lobbyists for the establishment of Waikato University.
Dr Barrie Winn joined the Rogers brothers in 1985. He was later joined by Dr Lesley Topping and gynaecologist Dr Mary Margaret Vant. Barrie and Mary Margaret retired from Little London in 2019 and Lesley at the end of 2019.
We are now very well served by our current team of fabulous GPs.

β β β β β Was a horrible few experiences I've been with this medical center since birth 28 years, back when Dr winn was still practicing he is a brilliant doc and very kind but the receptionist was extremely rude and no customer service I have left a few appointments feeling extremely disrespected and pushed aside the doctors are great no complaints but as for the receptionist I have avoided being back just on the treatment I received from her

β β β β β Did not enjoy my last visit to the clinic i had started at since i was a child am 34yrs old now.
Went to get a medical to get help from msd after i had major surgery overseas. i had applied with msd before i left for surgery 17th March 2018 and returned to do medical 19th April. As everyone knows the date on medical cert needs to match the date that you applied for asisstance with msd. Even though my doctor knew i had surgery over a month ago and that was recovery time overseas after surgery and i had supporting evidence from surgeon and flight itinerary to prove this the doctor refused to back date because i was not a frequent paitent at the clinic but my medical history shows over 10years of history at that clinic of my surgery preparation etc The admin said doctor is refusing to date it but will do my disability form from the back date which does make no sense as why do 1 form and not the other as they are meant to have same dates?????
Im very disappointed with the way i have been treated. Im recovering from major surgery and i had to come to the clinic 4 times to sort things out and my well being was not considered even though they new i had just had surgery. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

When ticking the ethnic box for "MΔori", citizenship in Aotearoa should be a dead given. Whether is it part of the process for application or not, It is the height of disrespect to ask Tangata Whenua if they are born on this land. Whether or not you understand tikanga, reo or otherwise is not the issue here (even though you really should) .... Acknowledging identity as a person of this land is a very basic requirement for cultural competency. In the future when someone says they are MΔori and theyr'e registering for your clinic, Let that be the end of the "citizen" conversation.
We are not migrants or guests here.

Admin staff and practice Nurses are top notch. Always pleasant and professional.

β β β β β Dr Winn is a wonderful doctor because he genuinely cares about his patients. I had him since I was a toddler until my mid 20's when I moved away so I thought all doctors were like him but unfortunately I was wrong. I'm in my mid 30's and I still haven't found a doctor as thoughtful, caring and dedicated to his patient's as Dr Winn. Naomi

β β β β β Not a patient here (thankfully). I have had so much trouble with trying to get the right support and help for someone very close to me and it's becoming ridiculous.
If the receptionist making someone feel bad about their appointment to speak with the GP regarding their MENTAL HEALTH wasn't bad enough, the blatant lack of communication and neglect is definitely the icing on the cake.
This patient has been enrolled for over 15 years and only JUST been advised the triage service available to patients requiring urgent care because they get pushed back to A&E if they call "outside of triage hours".
Calling your GP for medical advice and help should be "comfortable and relaxing" as quoted on your website however this is not the experience that is provided here on the occasions that I have had to deal with the staff myself due to the ANXIETY brought upon your own patient just by having to speak with someone there.
