★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent camp ground, if not one of the best I've been through, an old bird sanctuary with a stream running through it, plenty of activities for the kids and adults to keep everyone occupied and the stoke level high. Super sheltered and great facilities all set in a natrual environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow, awesome, amazed. This campsite is one of a kind, the scenery is just breath-taking, the bird life, Tui's and Woodpigeons'. The facilities are great, and different, loved it. The river and bush, I'm sure a Moa was going to appear, it's got that feel. The owner floated around working, but wasn't obtrusive, the price was great, plus dogs allowed. A must stay, we can't wait to go back, in all seasons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cool spot, Eels, slides, tire swings, rock hopping, boardwalks. I can imagine it would be a pretty awesome spot to be a kid. The owners are super helpful and nice! I had a great time.
Only thing I didnt like was the pricing, its Per Person, and doesnt include hot showers(2$for 4 min) and powers sites cosy extra(fair enough) it does have kitchens, toilets and water. No waste dumping as far as I could tell.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great campground with a lower section for camper vans, etc and across the stream various flat areas for tent sites (no car access) big area above to explore. Shower ($2 coin to use) and toilet block very modern considering the location. Lots of families staying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great eco camp right on the edge of a river. There are walking tracks connected to the grounds and heaps of places to chill out in communal areas. It's important to note that you need to take all non-food waste with you but there are facilities close by in town to do this.

Lots to do in the area.
Loved taking the kayak to Childrens Bay - lovely and shallow for what seemed like an age with many schools of small fish ?
Awesome to walk the track behind the campsite. Lovely views.
Everyone loves the campfire and marshmallows!
Laughed and laughed on the giant slippery slide.
Great showers and great composting.
Marcus is great; super approachable & super helpful ? Lovely chap.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an absolute hidden gem. The most beautiful campground we've experienced yet. A place to truly get back into nature. The river is gorgeous with lots of little treats along the way. Lovely rope swings for the kids, slippery slide, eels to feed, awesome walks, marshmallow pit, what more could you need.. Toilets were clean and well maintained. Showers worked well. Outdoor kitchen was great. A piece of paradise. Will definitely be returning . And love that we can bring our dog. Thanks Marcus for being a great host .
