β β β β β I have had a number of check-ups With Dr Swain for various conditions and have always found her to be thorough, direct and very professional. I have read some of the comments and find them hard to understand from my perspective. We need to remember that since march of 2020; all those in the medical profession have been under immense stress and heavy workloads so a little empathy may be something to remind our selves of

β β β β β Waste of time using the online wait time tracker as it appears to be an understaffed clinic hence "quieter" often.
Had made an online appointment on Bettr but as this was too late in the afternoon and with my dad becoming unwell fast. I took in my sick dad to this clinic. Went in for a quicker turn around. Was charged twice the normal fee due to consult time exceeding normal time which is fine but I personally don't use Local Drs anymore and my GP goes over 30 mins and I still pay the same fee which is slightly higher than Local Drs but has quality of care. Emailed Bettr and also let the male receptionist at Syliva park know about cancelling the Bettr appointment for that afternoon which he said he would do and process a refund. No refund and to make things worse. Having taken my dad to Auckland hospital in a serious condition, the Bettr team constantly hounded me in A&E for the appointment I had cancelled - did Local Drs not communicate this on their platform that the patient was sent to Auckland City Hospital as an urgent case. What a mess - seems like neither your receptionist nor the email I had sent was received. A very poor service as always. Good reason now for both my parents to move over to a better practice!
I'd stay away from Local Doctors - as cheap as they maybe, their wait times and services are horrible.

β β β β β I would never recommend anyone to take their kids to this place. I took my 6 weeks old to have her vaccination not only I had to wait for so long with my breastfeeding kid, an insensitive staff member attended us. My child was in so much of pain while she was injected as the staff was so rough and doesn't even care to calm her down.
Another most critical flaw was their weighing equipment was inaccurate and was showing incorrect results.

β β β β β I went to the clinic for a medical issue on Saturday morning. Clinic was closed and notice was put up saying that clinic will remain closed on Saturdays until further notice. I was very disappointed as this is the only branch where I can go for day time consultations because of the availability of covered parking. I had to wait till night to go to Otara clinic for the consultation. Please re-open on Saturdays. It will still be better if you can open for full day as Saturdays are always overcrowded and waiting time is more in the weekend.

β β β β β I went to the local doctors sylvia park yesterday.Receptionist was very rude.But one of the nurses was very lovely and helpful.She understood my situation and helped me out.
Atleast teach some humanity to the receptionists and how to behave with people please ..

β β β β β I was quite reluctant to visit after reading their reviews but visited anyways to see Dr Patel who specialises in removal of lumps....first time i went in gave name, and shortly after had a consultation and explained costs etc, went back following week for surgery, had lump removed in less than 30mins, a week later today i went in to remove stitches and left clinic within 10mins...receptionist were friendly and helpful, the nurse was friendly and the place looked clean. Happy with outcome and service recieved.
