About Lockwood Manor Motel
Hi there,
Firstly we would like to say thank-you for taking the time to have a look over our website. We've found, overtime whenever we stay somewhere you never know who will be waiting for at reception so we decided to be a little different and let you all in on a little bit about ourselves.
Both of us were born and raised in Taranaki and planned on staying here forever...until we got the opportunity to live in Ireland for 12 months. It was 2000 and by 2005 (yes 5 years later) we had truly embraced the Irish culture and amongst other things played rugby (yes both of us), worked in a castle, and sold photocopiers.
With our first son Tyler due in November that year, we decided to have a kiwi kid, so back home we came. David began a new career in Real Estate and Kelly-Anne set out keeping the house in order and planning another child. Ella duely obliged and we welcomed her in February 2008 the same day as her Dad!
By October that year we realized we were ready for a change of scenery so when this opportunity came around we jumped at it, and the process changed a 16 acre lifestyle block with 12 chickens for a half acre section with 12 units.
We love this province, love the city and love our job. Hopefully this comes through when you meet us whether your first time visiting or your 15th year staying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the Queen studio unit, and it was spacious, comfortable, super clean, and fully equipped with kitchen, the cleaning stuff did a excellent job keeping up this place. Also great location, walk to everywhere to town, grocery shopping, restaurants, beautiful park. The owner is very kind, courteous, making sure your stay 100% satisfied. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 4 nights for a convention next door. This is a great property managed by people who are passionate to serve and ensure your comfort.

It is reasonably priced, rooms are very spacious, impeccably cleaned and the hosts are super friendly and helpful. We love the location so near town and the Coastal walkway. Being able to borrow their bikes is another great feature.
