β β β β β A very nice place to visit, very quite place to visit where everyone and everything is in no rush, with a 30kph speed limit, make ya way to the reserve, this place is the access point to most the walks thatl take ya down to the beach or a walk through the dunes, with beautifull Tuis and wood pigeons singing their songs. A very relaxing place to visit. It says no camping but everyone does anyway (just ask a local first)

β β β β β Great beach! Easy to surf at, beautiful views, baby penguins and huge caves! The forest and adjacent playground are clean and have swings. Only downside is the lack of garbage bins and the dead bird I found.

β β β β β As a Resident of Long Beach it is an amazing place to live and a privilege to be here and be able to bring the family for a day at the beach but always remember the real residents are the wildlife we share this Coastline with. Keep your dogs on a lead please as we have new Sea Lion Pups and a number of other wildlife breeding at our door step.

β β β β β One of the best beaches in the Dunedin area for walking and exploring. Easy access with car parks, picnic tables and grassed areas.
Beach is great to walk on even at high tide. Walk to one end to rock climbing and caves where blue penguins sleep at night. At the other end there are interesting basalt rock formations. Sea lions are sometimes seen on and off the beach.
There are short walking tracks off the beach and around the tidy village.
